Founder and Lead Educator

I am a experienced early years specialist who is passionate about power of play in early years development and the benefits of connecting with the natural environment. I advocate a values based approach to teaching and learning taking inspiration from the Reggio Emilia, RIE and Forest School approaches.

I have taught and lead in a range of early years and primary settings both in the UK and New Zealand enjoying roles such as Pedagogical Leader, Mentor and Curriculum Consultant.

Since completing my Forest School Leader training in 2013 my work has predominately been focused on teaching and learning in outdoor settings. This has enabled me to gain a wealth of experience in establishing and running nature-based settings.

I have supported a range of settings in the development of their philosophy and practice in play and outdoor learning and creating environments to support this. I continue to endeavor to empower educators to get their children outside and reap the benefits of a child-led approach to learning.

Most importantly, I like to get outside, play and try to remove the barriers preventing others from doing the same!
